Operation "ORGANIZE ALL THE THINGS"

This is what my office should look like...
We are in desperate need of organization!

One Half-of-Me says: "YAY! Organization! I love organization! I love walking into a room, knowing where everything is, having everything neatly labeled..." and so on.

The Other Half-of-Me says: "Yeah, I could do that. Or, instead of worrying about it now, I could just make things and use all of my supplies, then organize when I get new supplies. I sort of know where everything is. What more do you want from me?! *grumbling*..." and so on.

This is what my office actually looks like...

Both of these sides are illogical and have been bickering for far too long, with "other half" winning much too often.

Well, I simply can't take living in the clutter anymore! It is time to get out, to get organized in such a way as stay organized isn't a chore, but a simple step. It is time for a permanent change!

I've determined that I do not make good use of enough hours in my day, so I am starting a new project.

           OPERATION: ORGANIZE ALL THE THINGS

Step 1: RESEARCH
Thanks to my Husband for an email link, this whole project got started. Here is what I have found so far...

1) "The Nest Effect" which has many wonderful posts about ways to get organized with suggestions, instructions, tutorials, and more! A truly fantastic find and a great starting point.

2) "I Heart Organizing" is a great site with tips for fashionable home organization, and many other techniques for creating a cohesive organization system.

3) "I'm an Organizing Junkie" has some AMAZING resources ranging from a FREE Learn To Organize Guide, to a wide variety of suggestions and ideas, it is the most comprehensive site I found.

4) "Simplify101" seems to be a company specializing in organization tips, workshops, and more. Some of their info overlaps the other sites, but is presented in different ways.

5) "365 Days of Organization" A sort of bare-bones approach to sharing tips and information that people may find useful in putting their lives on a more organized track.

Step 2: Pick Somewhere to START
With the whole wide world of organization now at your fingertips, it may be challenging to pick somewhere to begin the journey. I want to start with something important...

After all of my reading, I plan to start here:

If you care to join me on this journey, please share what you find most helpful and let me know where you plan to start!
