Here's The Scoop or The Many Flavors of Disappointment

Today, I feel like the kid who was so very excited about getting their first ever triple scoop ice cream cone, just to have some bully knock it out of my hands. I was so very excited for today...

1) The healthcare ruling came down and now I am forced to be logical and realistic again instead of excited about our political system...
2) Germany lost their game against Italy, when they should have had no problem winning...
3) I argued with and offended a dear friend who is like a sister to me. Another dear friend is struggling with some things that she shouldn't have to deal with...
4) I saw the ugly side of ignorance and bliss yet again today and it broke my heart that there are people in the world who love their own comforts and their own stuff more than they love people...

I guess looking on the bright side, it is good that people are getting involved in the political system (albeit a little late), and that Germany lost, because now maybe they will work harder in the future.

There is nothing good about offending my friend or the difficult things that my other friend is going through, other than that perhaps when it is over the bonds of friendship will be stronger.

As for number 4, I am not finding anything good coming from the apathy and ignorance, other than the knowledge that my heart is still able to break and feel. Maybe I can find ways to show them that love of people is better than love of things.

Cynicism and Disappointment: 1         Optimism from Retrospect: 1
So it's a draw!
