Thus, I have decided I am going to do my own research and read the bills, constitution, and legal arguments for myself. I will be sharing my findings with you here over the next few weeks in a series I've titled:
"The Constitution & You”
or
"The Political Circus: Dizzying Heights & Death Defying Stunts!"
or
"What Happened: The Modern American Political Platform"
My first article will be shared later this week and covers the Preamble (or Introduction) to the Constitution. That is the purpose statement for the Constitution. I will try to explain it, and then explain what I think it means to us and why it is relevant, perhaps now more than ever.
Now, what sources will I be using? The originals! The Constitution, The Bill of Rights, and the laws I plan to discuss.
My assistant on this journey is the wonderful website of the Cornell University Law School, who provides the Constitution, annotations, and non-partisan interpretation and information, free of charge and to the public. You can find all of that and more, here: http://www.law.cornell.edu/constitution.
(Note: They did not ask me to promote them in any way, nor have I had contact with the university. Simply, they have the best online resources for the Constitution.)
