Oklahoma was lovely. From the drive in on Monday night with the fantastic view of the thunderstorms, to the country hospitality of my family, and the fantastic Apples to Apples games that seem to be turning into a family tradition, we had a great start to our travels.
Today, we head to Springfield, Missouri. After a lovely early breakfast send off with the family at Cracker Barrel, we are on the road to Tulsa & then on to Springfield. (My poor sister is so sad that we are leaving so soon, and I can't help but agree, but perhaps next summer she can join us on our journey.)
In Springfield, we will get to meet so many wonderful people and be reunited with our amazing roommate, RaShawn. She is in Missouri visiting her family and spending time with her boyfriend who recently returned from serving in the US Army in Afghanistan. We get to meet his family, and spend time getting to know all of the awesome people in RaShawn's life.
For now, we are on the road!
