My life has changed this school year with the addition of me keeping my cousins kids at least once a week after school. This is not a planned situation, but one that has been most rewarding! Libby is a very mature 12 year old whose bright outlook and Harry Potter obsession are a constant source of amazement and joy for me. (Finally someone who gets all my Potter jokes!) Jonathan is quick of wit, mouth, and foot. His ability to learn new concepts and solve problems, tell very funny (punny) jokes, and ability to think in abstract concepts and be infinitely creative
When my great aunt, their grandmother, found herself unable to keep them after school, I stepped in. Then, after she had a very risky operation in December (& subsequently died a week later) I was staying with the kids a lot.
1) set up the board.
2) flip a coin to.see who goes first
3) roll the dice to see how many spaces of your gate you get to open
4) pawns have queen moves.
5) first you have to take the metal "locks" off your gate.
6) roll the dice to see how many spaces you can move.
